Made my Day!

I received an email from Yati, a very good friend, as follows:

"The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had" Thank you Yati. You made my day.

After Friday prayer, on arriving to my office, I switched on my handphone ( heran jugak apa jenis manusia yg tak reti off kan handphone masa kat mesjid!). There is a message in my mailbox. And to my surprise, my very good old friend, Hj Roslan Nordin called. We were best friends when we were at KGV Seremban. That was way back in 1977-1981. Those memories (remember singing lagu Hujan under the desk? Kah kah kah) pops up bring me smile and fireworks! Yeah..fireworks! Mana tak kelakarnya. That was during Cikgu Sotong's class (I can't remember her name) Faces of the old Georgians emerging one after another in my head. Azli Adnan, Dr. Ferhat, Sheikh Hasnan, Harris Sloan, Yati, Sarinah, Arshad, Azman Asmoi and many more. Woiii! Korang pegi mana hah? Hj Roslan's number 019-2832500. You made my day!

Anugerah Pelajar Cemerlang.

Hari Anugrah Pelajar Cemerlang Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Tun Dr. Ismail 1 dan Mesyuarat Agung PIBG sekolah. I was wondering how should I behave when one of my children dapat award sebagai pelajar cemerlang when my other children tak dapat? I am scared, by reaction will demoralised my other children. But, at the same time, what would my award winning child feel if my appreciation is not to her expectation? She would want to be treated as a star. I would! Who doesn't? This is a challenge being a parent. However, Kakak, Papa is very proud of you. Very proud! The tears running down on my cheek when I snap your photo while you received your award. The feeling is like, all my difficulties in raising 6 children being rewarded, just by seeing you on stage. How do I explain how I feel right now? I am lost of words. To all my other children, I am proud of you, in you very own way. Bang Long, being the eldest, always get presurred to raise to the occassion. He is suppose to be this, suppose to do that, and blah blah blah. And he alwas did. Not perfect, but who cares? Nobody is perfect. So long you have tried your best. Bang Ngah, the entertainer of the family. Always crack jokes when the situation is so tense. Sensitive but never too selfish to make everybody happy. Bang Teh, always try to get to the centre of attention. Loving and caring. Kakak, what else can I say, bossy but always right. Matured before her age. Responsible and very dependable. Kak Uda, so manja and missable. Quiet at times, always being overshadowed by Kakak. Very imaginative and creative. Anek, talkative and clever. Gets the whole attention by the brothers and sisters. Semoga Allah memberi kebahagiaan berpanjangan kepada kami sekeluarga.

Birthdays and Anniversary.

Dah lama tak update blog. Tak ada masa. Dari 4/2 masa birthday Bang Long nak tulis, nak wish dia Happy Birthday, kemudian 13/2 birthday Kakak, juga nak wish Happy Birthday, sampailah esok my wedding anniversary yang ke 15, tak sempat-sempat lagi. Sekarang sibuk dengan projek DiGi di pantai timur. Our MICE section is very busy sampai hujung tahun... busy giler. Kesian kat staff. Tapi, dah kerja. Kenalah macam tu. Masa relax tak kira. anyway, I am very lucky because I have a bunch of crazy boys yang bersengkang mata siang malam nak bagi kerja successful. Thank you guys. Nanti cukup tahun, kita negotiate bonus. He he.

Esok is my 15th anniversary. Orang perempuan ni, selalu kata kita tak sayang dia. Dia nak kita cakap sayang tu every minutes. Tapi perangai orang lelaki pulak (I don't know about others, rasanya sama jugak macam aku) susah sangat nak keluarkan perkataan tu. Anyway, to me, nothing makes me happier than having my wife beside me, taking care of my children, and taking care of the house. Do not worry about me because I know how to take care of myself. Just worry about my (our) children. They are my reason for being. Kalau, inna solaati, wa nusuuki, wa ma hiyaaya, wa ma maati, lillahi rabbil alamin, second to that will be my family. Bukan nak menduakan Allah, tapi betapa sayangnya aku pada keluargaku. Semoga Allah memelihara keluargaku dari segala fitnah, penyakit, mara bahaya dan kesusahan. Aamin..! To my wife, abang sayang mama.

First Day Work after Maal Hijrah

3 Muharram - Rasa nak berhijrah dari satu keadaan yang ada sekarang ke satu keadaan yang lebih baik. Can I do that? First day work after long holiday, carrying the demam.

Pagi-pagi lagi Puan Aishah UKM call, asking for a meeting tomorrow to discuss on Padang Trip. Arriving at the office, dah kena kerumun dgn staff, reporting OSMs. Lepas Zohor, tadi sempat take a nap kat surau, tak tahan sakit kepala. Shukor Kepala Batas call to confirm extra 8 participants for Bali Trip.
